One of the great things about looking into Florida’s First Coast communities is that you’re going to find very quickly that you’re in a great position to find a community that is a great fit. Whether you are looking into Florida’s First Coast communities because you’re interested in living in the area year round or you are looking for a vacation community, you’re going to want to be sure that you choose the spot that’s ideal for your needs.
What should you consider when you’re looking for your ideal Florida First Coast community?
- You’re going to want to be sure that you’re looking at the differences between communities right on the water and those that are a bit more inland.
- You’re going to want to consider the differences between modern areas like some parts of Jacksonville and more historical areas like St. Augustine.
- You’re going to want to make sure that, if you’re sending your kids to school, that you’re looking for the right district and the right schools in those districts.
- You’re going to want to think about what you are looking for in a home as well.
In other words, when you’re thinking about choosing a First Coast community, you’re going to want to make sure that you find the home that’s ideal for your needs.

These days, for those who are living in Florida - specifically those who live near Jacksonville and other major cities - don’t seem to be able to get away from the fact that the next presidential election is less than three weeks away. Fortunately, a lot less of the talk has to do with hanging chads, but still, it’s tough not to scan the morning papers just to make sure that there are not any traffic blockages for rallies being help by the presidential hopefuls and their running mates.
No matter how you characterize your political leanings and regardless of which candidate you are leaning toward, you’re likely to find yourself thinking about attending an event just to say that you were there when. . . You may find yourself curious about what the candidates have to say about the economy, offshore drilling and other issues that are central to the election.
Wherever you stand, you’re going to find that it’s tough to ignore that everyone and everything involved with the political spectrum; the most important thing that you can do if you’re one of the many who live on Florida’s First Coast or elsewhere in the state is simply to get out there and make sure that you vote.

If you have been living on Florida’s First Coast for a while, one of the things that you are going to want to think about is what you can do to secure your home. One of the best reasons for looking into buying a Florida condominium of your own is that you will be able to count on yourself - rather than paying rent to someone else, you could be building equity of your own. When you look into owning your own Florida condo, you will find that there’s less risk of the unexpected.
If you live on the First Coast, you’ll know the story that’s being referred to:
(source)Wednesday night, Taylor found out she had less than a month to find a new place to live, and she’s not the only one. About 90 other residents of Watermark Marina Apartments at 2039 Niblick Drive, got their own letters saying the complex was shutting down.
In other words, when you have made an effort to buy a Florida condo of your own - a home that you will be able to build equity in but that will not force you to do a great deal of maintenance - you won’t have to worry about having someone else at the reigns; you’ll simply find yourself in a far better position.

One of the things that you are going to find when you start to think about living in Florida and calling one of the First Coast communities (or other areas of the state for that matter) home is that you are able to take a closer look at all of your interests and passions and to explore them.
What you are going to find is that when you make the choice to call Florida home is that you are able to do more than just to look at the community that you’re living in; you’re going to find that you’re really able to create an atmosphere that feels like home.

- Enjoy your work and step away from it at the end of the day
- Create a life that you believe will be worth living
In other words, one of the things that you are going to discover when you make the choice to live in Florida is that you will be able to create the life you want to live - and that you are able to create the home that you’ve always hoped for.

One of the great things that you’re going to find when you start to look into living in Florida is that there are some very clear advantages. Okay, so the Tampa Bay Devil Rays are far from a First Coast team, but still, for those living in Florida, there is a simple reality: the Devil Rays are having a great post season thus far and it looks very much like they will be defeating the Boston Red Sox and moving on to the World Series. For those living in Florida, this is exciting - even if, more often than not, you tend to watch football or basketball rather than spending your time seeing what’s going on on the diamond.
Whether you’re looking for a road trip with friends who are baseball lovers (and can find tickets to see the Rays play) or you’re looking for a great excuse to head out with your friends for a night cap at the end of a rough day at the office, you’re going to find that living in Florida - along with the successes of the Devil Rays - gives you a great opportunity.
Whether you make the choice to watch the game from home and invite friends over or you’re looking for the chance to get out of the house for a while, if you’re a sports fan, living in Florida is going to provide countless great opportunities for you.

When it comes to those who are living in Jacksonville and other areas on Florida’s First Coast, if you’re a football fan, then there is some likelihood that you are going to pay attention to the Jacksonville Jaguars. And, if you are Jaguars fan, the news that Walker has been hospitalized is likely to come as a major disappointment - just as it has for the team:
(source) Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Mike Walker has been hospitalized with an infection in his right knee, coach Jack Del Rio announced Monday.
Walker, who suffered the injury in an October 5 game against Pittsburgh, has 12 catches for 161 yards this season.
Del Rio also said Walker was hospitalized to receive antibiotics in hopes of reducing any chance of infection.
“He’s going to miss next week for sure,” Del Rio said. “It could be a couple of weeks.”
Whenever the team that you cheer for suffers an injury, getting the news feels a bit like a personal affront. Even when you’re just a fan of the sport, hearing about an injury like this one is going to have an effect on you - after all, a great player is out of the game. Still, the news is optimistic - here’s hoping that Jaguars fans don’t have to wait long to see Walker back on the field.

One of the great things about living on Florida’s First Coast is that you are going to have the chance to spend time out on one of the area’s many great beaches. Part of what is fantastic about that, however, goes beyond simply looking at the sand and watching as the tide shirts and hearing the waves crash down: part of what makes spending time on Florida’s First Coast beaches is the opportunity to see a lot of great wildlife.
In part you are going to see that the wildlife includes a variety of birds - including those that are in the midst of their migratory courses. In part, it’s the wide variety of fish that you’ll be able to catch without traveling too far from the Florida First Coast shorelines. You’ll also find that there are endangered species in the area - including sea turtles and manatees.
Preserving the wildlife of Florida’s First Coast beaches is important for everyone - no one wants to see a species disappear or to think that the only way that their kids and grandkids will be able to see them is in a book. The more that you are in the area, the more that you recognize all of the opportunities to contribute, the more that you will see that it’s easy to get involved.

One of the greatest things about living in Florida - at least for the sports enthusiast - is that the area gives you a chance to check out a wide variety of sporting events:
- Love basketball? When you live on Florida’s First Coast, you’ll find that Orlando is just a short drive away and you’ll be able to head out to cheer for the Magic or whichever team is in the area to compete.
- Love football? Living on Florida’s First Coast is going to give you the opportunity to check out the Jacksonville Jaguars and other NFL teams that are visiting the area. You’ll also have a great opportunity to see a number of collegiate level teams or, if you want to see the Miami Dolphins, a weekend trip will be enough to make it happen.
- Love baseball? One of the things that you’re going to find living in Florida is that there are plenty of opportunities to see games - collegiate and minor league - or to take a weekend trip to see the Devil Rays in Tampa Bay.
- Love golf? Welcome to one of the best areas in the country to play.
And those points about sports that you can check out when you’re living in Florida is just the beginning.
