When you are thinking about living in Florida, one of the choices that you will want to consider up front is where you want to live. You’re going to want to think about whether you want a waterfront condominium that will let you just walk out onto the beach - whether you are looking for a full time home, a place where you will be able to go with your family for years to come or you’re looking for a great investment - or whether you’re looking for a different style of home.

Of course, if you do want a great waterfront condo, you want to be close enough to Jacksonville that you can take advantage of all that the city has to offer and you want to be able to spend as much time as possible by the water, you’re going to want to think a bit more about living in Amelia Island.

(source)Saturday evening, Marino took Chris, who is autistic, to the beach at Ponce Inlet south of Daytona Beach. Chris floated away and Marino tried to bring him back, but a strong outgoing current carried them about 10 miles from land and separated them by miles.

Their family reported them missing, and Coast Guard crews from the Ponce Inlet station, in a boat and helicopter, spent all night searching for them. After daylight, a private boat found Marino adrift and handed him over to the Coast Guard.

Then a Coast Guard helicopter from Clearwater took over the search. Petty Officer 1st Class David Dunstan, a flight mechanic, spotted Chris about an hour later and a mile farther out to sea.

The way that the story worked out, the boy floated on his back and treaded water through the night; accorning to the Coast Guard, he did everything right and made their job easy. In other words, when it comes to Florida beach memories, this one started great, got pretty scary, but ended well - and that’s the important thing.

These days, in light of hurricane season and its unpredictability, those who are heading out to Florida beaches are going to want to be sure that they are keeping an eye out for rip currents. If the lifeguards are going to be moving their chairs back from the beach and encouraging the public to stay back and out of the water.

While living near Florida’s beaches is fantastic throughout much of the year - think about those hot summer days where you get the chance to cool off without having to make huge plans to head out to the shore; think about those winter months when people who live up north are making an effort to scramble down to our shorelines - there are definitely those times when it’s a good idea to take a step back.

Florida’s beaches are out there just waiting to be taken advantage of most of the year - when there are warnings that indicate that it’s a good idea to take a break and to stay out of the water, it’s a good idea to heed those warnings. For those of us who are lucky enough to live near Florida’s beaches, they’ll still be there after the storm.

When it comes to beach weddings, there are going to be people who will tell you that spring is the best possible season; others will tell you it’s all about summer. However, when you live on Florida’s First Coast and you are planning a beach wedding, one of the things that you are going to quickly discover is that, thanks to weather that remains great well into the autumn and temperate even into the winters, you can have a beach wedding in Florida practically year round.

If you’ve been thinking about a beach wedding on Florida’s First Coast, you just might find that living in the area gives you a tremendous advantage. For those with waterfront homes on Florida’s First Coast, the option of an autumn beach wedding becomes even more appealing. The temperatures are great and the beach is just out beyond their yard. With a number of businesses in the area that help to plan beach weddings, you’ll find that everything is simple - at least when it comes to finding a fantastic location and having room for out of town family members.

While beach weddings well into the autumn are not the only benefit you’ll discover while living on the First Coast, it’s definitely one to take advantage of.

(source)Scott Peterson of the Volusia County Beach Patrol said that there are no lifeguards on duty but the Beach Patrol has been urging people to stay out of the surf because of the dangers caused by Tropical Storm Fay.

In other words, when you’re going to get out and spend time on Florida beaches, you are going to find that it’s important to look at all of the different situations that are going on: when there’s a risk, you’re going to want to be sure that you are aware of it and that you are taking appropriate steps to keep yourself safe.

When you’re living in Florida, there’s a really good chance that you will be drawn to the beaches of Florida - but some people are drawn a little bit further out onto the water:

When you live in Florida and have easy access to the beaches of Florida, you’ll find that there’s always a great catch waiting to happen - even if you have to “sacrifice” and get out on the water to make it.

When you live in Jacksonville Beach, you’ll find that it’s easy to spend your time running on the sand or splashing in the waves, building sandcastles or flying kits, combing the sand for treasure or just relaxing in the sun. Similarly, when you have waterfront land in St. Augustine where you are able to build a home of your own with easy access to the shore or you live in Ponce Inlet, spending time on Florida beaches is simple.

Florida’s beaches are a destination for many; for those who call the area home, it’s easy to understand what is so appealing. From soft sand to a temperate climate, from access to the water to access to great golf without having to go far from home, those who spend time on Florida beaches will find that they are able to focus on having a great time while still living the lives that they were meant to live.

When you live near one of Florida’s beaches, you will find education, you will find sports, you will find great jobs, activities and time with your family: in other words, you will find that when you live near Florida beaches you will be in a position in which you’re able to experience everything that you are looking for - and then some.

One of the great things that many people discover when they are living in Florida is that it’s remarkably easy to get out and spend a day at the beach. More importantly, however, especially for those people who have kids in the family, living in Florida is also about exploring the coast line and learning more about the natural habitat. Those who live in Jacksonville, for example, will find that they are able to easily learn more about life on the barrier islands off the shore:

(source)Join a park ranger to learn about the species that inhabit the natural communities of the undeveloped barrier islands of northeast Florida. The program will take place at pavilion one on Little Talbot Island. No reservations are necessary and the program is free with regular park admission.

Little Talbot Island is a great place for spending time with the family, to explore what the area would be like if it were all undeveloped and to make sure that the kids are able to learn more about preserving natural habitats. After all, one of the most effective things that you can do when you want to be sure that your kids are concerned about preserving the environment for the future is to make sure that they are able to take advantage of the full experience while they are young.

When you’re living on Florida’s Fist Coast, one of the things that you’re going to find is that there are plenty of great beaches that are there, waiting to be explored. What’s interesting though - and what many who live on the First Coast of Florida already know - is that beaches are not meant to just be explored from the shoreline and the water is not meant to be explored simply while in a boat. The area is also not a bad place to explore from under the water.

I did not personally dive this weekend but the only report I have heard was from the BR (Blackmars Reef) area. Visibility was 10-12ft and the water was 66 degrees on the bottom. I guess it could be worse!

In other words, when you live on Florida’s First Coast, one of the things that you’ll discover is that it’s easy to get out there and explore under the water. SCUBA diving is, of course, just one more thing that you’re going to be able to take advantage of when you live in Florida - especially when you live near the water.
