Dinner and a Movie in St. Augustine

Monday nights are not usually big activity nights for people who are into the nightlife, but for those who live in St. Augustine and nearby communities, even a Monday night can be a great chance to head out, to have a great meal, to screen a movie before it’s release date and to help to raise money for your community and arts and cultural programs:

(source)This popular event is sold out for Monday, but an additional screening for September 29th has been added! Enjoy a fun evening at the movies and great food while helping raise funds and awareness through arts and culture in St. Johns County. The screening of the movie Paris Je T’aime (Rated R) is a film stripstory of love from the City of Love starring Natalie Portman, Orlando Bloom, Christina Ricci, Kevin Bacon and many others. The two-hour film consists of eighteen short films directed by 21 directors including greats such as Joel and Ethan Coen, Wes Craven, Alfonso Cuarón, Alexander Payne, Gus Van Sant.

Hours: doors open at 6:00 p.m., show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Admission: admission is $25 and includes dinner, the movie and a contribution to the St. Johns County Cultural Council

Now, the arts are important on Florida’s First Coast; most communities have galleries or museums, theatrical performances, live music and more. When you are able to do your part to keep the arts a part of everyday life on Florida’s First Coast and to have a great time while you are doing it, why not take advantage of it?
