Florida’s First Coast: A Part of History

When you make the choice to call , one of the things that you’re going to discover quickly is that the First Coast isn’t just about the future that you’ll be able to build for yourself, it’s also about the past of the area.

On one hand, you have the Ponce Inlet area which served as the early location of NASCAR - back when racing was new. You also have St. Augustine which is the area where Ponce de Leon landed during his exploration for Spain. There’s also that one other factor about the area’s history: at one point in time, it was Jacksonville where movie studios and film makers used to go - not Hollywood.

A lot of the city’s remaining buildings from the height of movie making have been renovated to celebrate the area’s history in film - one of which is being considered for use as a silent-film museum.

In other words, what you’re going to find is that, when you live on Florida’s First Coast, you’re going to be in a position in which there’s a rich history that’s just waiting to be explored.
