Atlantic Beach - A Special Floridian Gem
If you do a Google search for Atlantic Beach in North Florida, you’ll see the rave reviews that abound:
This is the best beach I’ve been to. The location is great - there’s many hotels within walking or short driving distance. Parking is free and very close to the many beach entrances. Lifeguards are always there and attentive but are spread apart so they don’t bother you unless you’re in danger.
And that’s just the beginning. Atlantic Beach is a great, little surfing beach for instance. And if you’re a surfer, you’ll know that finding good surf in Florida isn’t always the easiest feat! Atlantic Beach actually gets some decent waves, for the surfers amidst you!
It’s a family-oriented beach as well, so you have the amenities that help when you have a crew in tow, such as ice cream parlors, public restrooms, cafes and stop-and-go places to eat. The beach areas are varied so you and your gang can pick out a more remote, dry sandy area or a packed, cool sand lot closer to the water.
Nothing is more relaxing than strolling along Atlantic Beach and picking up some shells and rocks that are distinctive and wondrous. Gather them up, pick out your favorites and leave the rest. Use them as decor at your Floridian home or return them back to the waters.
