Of course, once you’re at the MOSH, it’s always a great way to spend some time - so why not go ahead and take in some of the other exhibits? You’re bound to find a number of things that catch your eye and hold your interest.

Living in Florida: Choosing a Home with a Great Kitchen

Living in Florida gives you many choices. First there’s the location where you’ll choose to live - and you’ll have a number of options including (but not limited to) First Coast communities. Then you’ll have to start looking at some of the more specific elements.

For example, do you want a single family home or a townhouse or condo? Are you looking for a place with just a couple of bedrooms or would you also like the opportunity to have a mother-in-law suite?

What’s important to you inside of the home? Is is all about choosing the right layout and floor plan, or does your new home have to have a great kitchen?

No matter what you’re looking for in a home, you will be able to find it - it’s all a matter of knowing where to look.

Members of First Coast Communities Find Ways to Give Back

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

When it comes to keeping up with the environment and preserving all of the world’s natural beauty, those in live on Florida’s First Coast find a number of ways to give back. From relocating endagered turtles and preserving the dunes to further away situations, there are many ways to give back.

BIG CAT FUNDRAISER:Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary tour and night feeding to benefit the big cats, Tour, 4-7 p.m.; night feeding, 7 p.m.; Sanctuary, 1860 Starratt Road. Tour, $10 age 7 and up, $5 children 3-6; night feeding, $15 age 7 and up, $10 children 3-6. (904) 757-3603 or go to www.cattyshack.org.

Being sure that wildlife - in particular endangered species - are able to be cared for and preserved is extremely important. It’s how we know that our kids and grandkids will be able to enjoy the natural world as we saw it and not just read about species and places from a book somewhere down the line.

By making an effort to give back, those who live in First Coast communities - and others, regardless of where they live - are able to ensure that life will go on.

Love the beach? Florida’s First Coast - doesn’t the name say it all? With long stretches of sandy beaches, it’s easy to find a space to call your own, even if only for a few hours each day.

For almost every interest you can name, Florida’s First Coast offers a way for you to pursue it and get more out of the way you live your life. Living in Florida’s First Coast communities gives you the opportunity to find yourself, explore your passions and make the most of every day.

Retirement in Florida - the Look May Be Changing

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

mother in law suite Living in Florida is something that many people associate with retirement; that’s not to say that you cannot live in places like Ponce Inlet while your younger. In some cases, you’ll even find that living in Ponce Inlet in a home with a mother-in-law suite will give you the opportunity to let your parents retire to Florida with you.

With a separate suite with plenty of light and space for preparing quick meals, relaxing and unwinding and sleeping - a suite where your parents can have the space that they need and give you your space as well.

Ponce Inlet homes have plenty to offer: time at the beach, an area that isn’t particularly well-developed, natural beauty, and the chance to live where others go to play. Why not share all of the benefits and know that your family is being cared for because you’re able to do it yourself?

Planning a Florida Beach Wedding

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

When you’re thinking about planning a Florida beach wedding, what could be better than having the beach just a dune walkover away from your backyard? When you have a chance to know that you’ve got the perfect location, the rest of the planning is a lot easier

Once you know that you have the right location for a Florida beach wedding, you’ll find that what’s left is simply choosing the time of day (also something you can be more flexible when you can get ready at home), choosing the officiant (and there are plenty available), ordering flowers and a photographer.

But what gets interesting is that there are wedding planners in Florida beach communities that do nothing but help you to plan the ideal beach wedding. That just simplifies the process even more.

Having the Florida beach in your backyard is great - even when you’re not planning a wedding. It’s just that much sweeter when you are.

Of course, it’s not just about style: you’ll find that life in a Jacksonville loft condo also offers convenience - the chance to walk to where you’re going, enjoy great neighborhood features and to take advantage of easy access to everything that you are looking for.

When you’re looking for both style and convenience and a place that you can call home - a home that will reflect your personal style and be comfortable whether you’re home alone for a quiet evening or entertaining friends - a Jacksonville loft condo is going to have what you’re looking for.

Is it really that simple? Maybe not for everyone; but that doesn’t mean that a great Jacksonville loft condo wouldn’t be right for you.

Great Things to Do When You Live in St. Augustine

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

When you live in St. Augustine, one of the best things that you can do is to just stay in and relax at home - especially if you’ve got a home that’s overlooking the water. Still, there are probably going to be times when you want to get out of the house and just sitting on the beach isn’t going to cut it.

If that happens to you, why not take the time to play tourist, just a little bit?

For example, if you’re looking for a fun evening out and you have a bit of a fascination with ghost stories, why not go on the Haunted Pub Tour? Get together some friends and go out exploring to see what might be out there to go bump in the night.

Pay a visit to the Lightner Museum just to see what’s new and different. Because exhibits do change, if it’s been a while since your last visit, why not head over, maybe grab a bite to eat in a nearby restaurant or enjoy a cup of coffee at a cafe and see what’s new?

These simple things that entertain visitors to St Augustine are equally great ways to pass the time when you’re living there. Why should the tourists get to have all the fun?
