For those who love getting out on the water, whether going out in the boat is a means to an end - a chance to go fishing - or an end in itself, living in Florida offers many opportunities to get out there and enjoy having a boat.
For those who live in St. Augustine or Ponce Inlet, there are a number of marinas that are widely available for storing your boat - many of which will be close to home. Likewise, if you live in Jacksonville, you’ll find that there are options for storing your boat on the St. John River as well as on the Atlantic near Jacksonville Beach.
But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t plenty of opportunities out there for those who do not have a boat of their own: chartered trips both for fishing, sailing and just cruising in the harbors are readily available.
