As If Golfers Need Another Reason to Move to Northeast Florida
What do coastal Florida homes in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Ponce Inlet and St. Augustine have in common? Well, there are a number of things really: beautiful ocean views, access to shopping and the arts, the ocean lifestyle, and gorgeous construction just name a few.
But there’s more: homes in the area also provide easy access to some of the best golf around.
With a wide variety of courses to choose from - courses designed by golf greats like Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus - you’d think that there wouldn’t need to be any added draw. Now, however, courses are adding a little something extra: GPS.
Northeast Florida golf courses have always been well known for their location. Now, thanks to the addition of Global Positioning System technology, or GPS, many area courses are helping golfers find their location on the course. Golfers will still need to find their own ball first.
Golf courses throughout Florida’s First Coast are adding GPS as the newest amenity to enhance a player’s round. The sophisticated technology improves the playing experience by more than just providing yardage distances. It also allows golfers to see tips from the club pro and order food and beverages.
According to the news, this will allow players to have an even greater experience - and is meant to entice those who are traveling to the area.
But, when you live in Northeast Florida - or have your own coastal vacation home - you won’t have to worry about fitting all those great courses into a week or two, you’ll be able to play at your leisure.
